Zuzahlung calculator

If you are insured with a statutory health insurer and you are 18 or over, you pay part of your prescription yourself: €10 per prescription plus 10 % of the amount your insurer settles per treatment. Set your prescription below and see the exact figure before you book.

Your situation

How are you insured?

Your prescription

Insurer settles 28,00 € per unit

For this remedy a prescription usually covers up to 6 units, so 6 units mean 1 prescription.

How binding is this?

This is a guide, not an invoice. The binding amount is the one your health insurer settles against your prescription; rates are agreed between the insurers and the state associations and can differ slightly. We calculate with the rates we bill in Bremen as of 2025 and show them openly above. If your prescription lists something not offered here, ring us and we will work it out with you. Nothing on this page is medical advice.

Everything, in one table

Prices

These are our self-pay rates — what you pay if you come without a prescription. With a prescription from your doctor we bill your statutory insurer directly and you pay only the Zuzahlung.

What we do

Treatments

Six things, done properly. Which of them is right for you is decided by your doctor and written on your prescription — we do not diagnose.

  • Krankengymnastik

    Prescribed as: KG

Guided active exercise to restore movement, strength and coordination — after an injury or an operation, or with long-standing complaints. You work one to one with your therapist and go home with a short exercise programme.

  • A therapist’s hands working on a patient’s shoulder on a treatment bench

    Manuelle Therapie

    Prescribed as: MT

Hands-on techniques for joints, muscles and connective tissue where movement is restricted or painful. Delivered only by therapists who hold the manual therapy certificate, which is what the insurers require.

  • A patient using a seated leg press with a therapist steadying the movement

    Exercise therapy on equipment

    Prescribed as: KG-Gerät (KGG)

Progressive strength and endurance work on leg press, cable and pulling equipment on the open gym floor, supervised throughout. Your doctor prescribes it as KGG; not every practice is licensed for it, we are.

  • Manual lymphatic drainage

    Prescribed as: MLD-30

A light, rhythmic technique that supports the drainage of tissue fluid. Used for swelling after surgery or injury and in lymphoedema. Usually combined with compression, which your doctor prescribes separately.

  • Classic massage

    Prescribed as: KMT

Massage of the back, neck and shoulder region to reduce muscle tension. Often prescribed together with heat, and often the sensible first step before anything more involved.

  • A warm fango pack in a folded towel resting on a patient’s lower back

    Heat therapy

    Prescribed as: Supplementary remedy

Fango packs and hot rolls to warm tissue before manual work. This is a supplementary remedy: it is prescribed alongside another treatment, never on its own.

We treat adults and adolescents. For children under twelve and for neurological rehabilitation after a stroke we work with two neighbouring practices and will pass on their details.

First time here?

How a prescription works

A Heilmittelverordnung — the pink or blue form 13 — is what lets us bill your insurer. Here is the whole path, in four steps.

  1. 1

    Ask your doctor

Any GP or specialist can issue a physiotherapy prescription. It is not tied to a practice: you choose where you go, whatever anyone tells you at the surgery.

  2. 2

    Ring us or book online

Tell us what is on the prescription and we will find a slot. Treatment has to begin within 28 days of the date the doctor signed it, so call as soon as you have it in your hand.

  3. 3

    Your first appointment

Bring the prescription, your insurance card and your exemption certificate if you have one. We take a short history, agree the goals written on the form and start treatment. Allow ten extra minutes the first time.

  4. 4

    Pay the Zuzahlung

For statutory patients the co-payment is due at the first appointment: €10 for the prescription plus 10 % per treatment. Card or cash, and you get a receipt you can use for your tax return or your Belastungsgrenze.

Three rules that are not ours

  • A prescription expires if treatment does not start within 28 days of the date of issue. Ring us before that runs out — we can almost always fit you in.
  • If treatment is interrupted for more than 14 days without a medical reason, the insurers require the prescription to be closed and a new one issued.
  • Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Later than that, or if you do not turn up, we have to invoice the missed appointment at the self-pay rate — your insurer will not cover it.

Statutory, private, self-paying

Who pays what

  • Statutory (gesetzlich)

We are licensed under § 124 SGB V and bill every statutory insurer directly. You pay only the Zuzahlung — €10 per prescription plus 10 % of the settled amount per treatment. Patients under 18, and adults with a valid exemption certificate, pay nothing.

  • Private and Beihilfe

You receive an invoice from us and submit it to your insurer or Beihilfe office. We bill along the customary schedule for physiotherapy. Most private tariffs reimburse it in full, but that depends on your contract — please check it before a long course of treatment.

  • Self-paying

No prescription needed: pick a treatment from the price list and pay on the day. Without a doctor’s prescription we cannot bill any insurer, and we cannot advise you on whether a treatment is medically indicated — that is a decision for your doctor.

What patients say

Selected from our jameda profile. We do not edit reviews and we do not pay for them.

4.8 average from 4 reviews

  • „Got an appointment in three days, which nobody else in Findorff managed. And treatment started on time every single week, which matters more than you would think.“

    Andrea K. · 2 months ago

  • „I asked what I would have to pay before I committed and got a straight answer with the actual numbers. That is rarer than it should be.“

    Hasan T. · 4 months ago

  • „Plain rooms, no music, no candles. The therapist explained what she was doing and why, and gave me exercises I actually do. That is what I wanted.“

    Ingrid M. · 5 months ago

  • „The seven o’clock slot means I can come before work. Parking on Hemmstraße is the only real downside.“

    Tobias R. · 7 months ago
